Ms. Goodykoontz practices within Robinson & McElwee’s Litigation Department with a focus on mass tort litigation, toxic torts and product liability.

Ms. Goodykoontz maintains more than 16 years of experience as an attorney, including 10 years involved in the defense of clients in asbestos cases.

Ms. Goodykoontz defends product liability cases and complex tort actions for national corporations in asbestos premises liability and silica litigation.

Ms. Goodykoontz routinely serves as coordinating liaison counsel in asbestos cases referred to the West Virginia Mass Litigation Panel coordinating all aspects of factual and expert discovery.

In addition to toxic tort experience, Ms. Goodykoontz has knowledgeable experience defending “deliberate intent” cases.

Additionally, Ms. Goodykoontz handles litigation in product liability, personal injury and contracts.

Ms. Goodykoontz typically represents corporations, including national corporate clients, as well as regional and local corporate clients. Ms. Goodykoontz has represented small manufacturers and Fortune 500 companies in many industries, including the chemical industry, manufacturers of plastics and synthetic fibers and manufacturers and suppliers of asbestos-containing products.

Prior to joining Robinson & McElwee, Ms. Goodykoontz worked within the West Virginia Attorney General’s Office. As an Assistant Attorney General, she handled workers’ compensation defense and represented state agencies in grievances and administrative hearings before state grievance boards.

Away from work, Ms. Goodykoontz  serves Holz Elementary School as a Real Aloud program volunteer and member of the Local School Improvement Council.
