Mr. Kennedy’s practice encompasses general civil and criminal litigation in federal and state courts at both the trial and appellate levels. Mr. Kennedy also has experience with general corporate compliance, real estate transactions and non-profit and gaming law.
Mr. Kennedy practices litigation in cases, including property damage, trespass, employment discrimination, personal injury, “deliberate intent,” construction and breach of contract claims.
Mr. Kennedy also has experience in financial services litigation, “wrongful discharge” and West Virginia Human Rights Act claims.
With regard to financial services litigation, Mr. Kennedy has experience in issues regarding borrower default and acquired properties.
Mr. Kennedy represents a broad spectrum of clients from many industries, including insurance companies, retailers and construction trades.
Additionally, Mr. Kennedy has experience with criminal litigation work with appointed federal appellate cases and state trial cases.
As counsel for his church, Mr. Kennedy helped the church form its non-profit structure. Mr. Kennedy has helped other charitable organizations, religious and secular, in non-profit law and corporate compliance, as well.
In his spare time, Mr. Kennedy serves as a Member of Clarksburg City Council and President of the Rotary Club of Clarksburg. Mr. Kennedy is also an FBI Citizens’ Academy Graduate and Former Post Adjutant for the Veterans of Foreign Wars.
