Mr. George’s practice involves transportation law, public utility law, environmental law, oil & natural gas law, alcohol beverage law, legalized gaming law and regulation, and government relations. As a professional registered lobbyist, Mr. George represents clients before the West Virginia and Federal Legislative and Executive branches of government. 

Mr. George represents utilities and appears before administrative agencies such as the Public Service Commission of West Virginia.  Mr. George's work includes practicing civil litigation in federal and state courts and representation of clients on federal and state legislative matters.

Mr. George also represents clients in the beverage alcohol and legalized gaming industries, as well as business and industry interests involving transportation, manufacturing, oil & natural gas, steel, pyrotechnics, and solid waste landfilling, transportation, transferring and recycling.

As the Government Relations Department Chair for Robinson & McElwee, Mr. George coordinates client and firm-related government interface. He serves on the Board of Directors for the National Association of State Lobbyists, a network of leading state government affairs professionals and state lobbyists across the country. By Governor appointment, Mr. George serves as a West Virginia State Fire Commissioner representing the state's business and industry interests.

In his spare time, Mr. George participates in extreme endurance and fitness competitions, distance running, fishing and hunting, as well as playing USTA competitive tennis and squash.  Mr. George holds a 4th Degree Black Belt in Tae Kwon Do, awarded under the tutilage of former United States Olympic Coach, Grandmaster Sok Ho Kang.  Mr. George is a certified instructor in martial arts and competes nationally and abroad in martial arts competitions.

  • Representation and counseling of clients in transportation-related matters.
  • Representation of clients regarding waste hauling, landfilling, transferring and recycling.
  • Advocates for client interests as a registered professional lobbyist at the state and federal levels.
  • Represents and counsels clients at the federal and state levels on alcohol beverage law matters, including regulatory issues, government relations, administrative procedures, licensing and transactions and First Amendment issues.
  • Represents and counsels clients regarding federal and state statutory and regulatory environmental issues, including solid and hazardous waste and air permitting.
  • Represents and counsels clients regarding federal and state legalized gaming law and regulations.
  • Drafts legislation and regulations, as well as environmental agreements and lease and contract clauses.
  • Civil litigation, including Superfund defense, defense of clients in commercial and contract disputes.
