Member Mark Hayes to Serve as DTCWV Vice President

Members of the Defense Trial Counsel of West Virginia (DTCWV) elected Mark H. Hayes as Vice President of the organization.  Mr. Hayes, a Member of the Charleston-based law firm of Robinson & McElwee PLLC, will serve his term from the present day until June, 2019.

“The Defense Trial Counsel of West Virginia touts itself as the ‘Voice of the Defense Bar.’  I want to make sure that voice is heard,” Mr. Hayes said while discussing his new position within the organization.  Mr. Hayes has several hopes for the future of the Defense Trial Counsel, including supporting the initiatives of the organization to improve West Virginia trial practice and the adversarial system of jurisprudence and to enhance the quality of services rendered by the legal profession to the citizens and businesses of West Virginia.

Mr. Hayes is a resident of Huntington and he has decades of experience representing businesses in West Virginia, specifically in litigation.  Mr. Hayes has been involved with the Defense Trial Counsel of West Virginia since 1991, a member of the organization’s Board of Governors for almost ten years, and in the officers’ rotation since 2016.
