Robinson & McElwee’s real property team of attorneys has extensive experience in the examination and analysis of land and mineral title searches, as well as property acquisition, financing and development.

Our attorneys handle title certifications for natural resource matters, including coal, oil and gas, and timber. Robinson & McElwee performs title certifications for several national oil and gas operators leading the development of the Marcellus and Utica shale plays in West Virginia, Pennsylvania and Ohio.

The Real Property Practice Group also has extensive experience in natural resource matters relating to land leases, agreements, and mergers and acquisitions.

Before entering the legal field, Mr. Dillon’s professional work experience included several years as a commercial lender and accountant. Mr. Dillon has extensive knowledge with regard to analysis and commercial banking. This prior experience, as a lender and accountant, provides Mr. Dillon with a unique perspective and insight when representing financial institutions and developers.

He has broad trial experience and has acted as an expert witness in significant matters involving real estate, gas, oil and mineral titles as well as lawyer malpractice/professional liability cases.
