Robinson & McEwee partner Edward J. George spoke on social media user critiques at the 2016 American Law Firm Association’s Hospitality Practice Group Seminar in Santa Barbara, California.  His panel discussed the benefits and pitfalls of replying to hospitality customers and guests regarding their experience and company personnel performance.

Mr. George practices transportation law, public utility law, hospitality law, beverage alcohol law and regulation, legalized gaming law and regulation, and government relations.

Robinson & McElwee PLLC has donated over $3,000 to sponsor the Kanawha-Charleston Humane Association’s Black Friday Adoption Event.  The donation from attorneys and staff at the firm will sponsor the adoption of all animals to their forever homes on Friday, November 27th

“We are extremely appreciative of the very generous donation from Robinson & McElwee.  Donations such as this one make it possible to save the lives of thousands of animals every year,” said Jessie Schafer, Director of Development at the Kanawha Charleston Humane Association.

Devan Flahive, an associate in Robinson & McElwee PLLC’s Clarksburg office, has accepted an adjunct professorship at West Virginia University in the Davis College of Agriculture, Natural Resources and Design.  Flahive will be teaching an undergraduate course on Agricultural and Natural Resources Law this fall.

George, Of Counsel at Charleston-based law firm Robinson & McElwee PLLC, was elected as the Chairman of the United States Commission on International Religious Freedom (USCIRF).  First appointed to the Commission in March of 2012 by Speaker of the House John Boehner, Dr. George was reappointed to a second term in 2014.
