Robinson & McElwee announced that partner Mark H. Hayes recently joined the International Association of Defense Counsel (IADC), one of the most prestigious legal organizations in the world.

“Mark is an experienced and skillful defense lawyer, as evidenced by the high honor of being invited to join the IADC,” said Kent J. George, Robinson & McElwee’s Managing Member. “One would be hard pressed to find a lawyer more dedicated to client success than Mark.”

The IADC is an invitation-only association for lawyers and insurance executives who represent corporate and insurance interests around the world. After being nominated by a current member of the organization, nominees are vetted by the IADC Membership Committee and the IADC Board of Directors before being extended an invitation. An invitation to join is a testament to the lawyer’s professional accomplishments.

“I am thrilled to accept the IADC’s invitation to join the organization,” Hayes said. “I look forward to connecting with other high caliber defense lawyers to share and develop new ideas and strategies to further benefit clients.”

Hayes has 35 years’ experience representing businesses in product liability, toxic tort and transportation matters in both West Virginia and Kentucky.  He is the immediate past president of the Defense Trial Counsel of West Virginia, the preeminent organization of defense and commercial attorneys in that state, and has been recognized for inclusion in The Best Lawyers in America© for both mass tort and product liability litigation.
