Robinson & McElwee Of Counsel attorney Joseph Beeson has been selected as a member of the 2022 class of the West Virginia Bar Foundation Fellows.
The criteria for this selective group of Bar Foundation Fellows are those judges and lawyers whose professional, public and private careers have demonstrated outstanding dedication to the welfare of their communities and honorable service to the legal profession, with the individuals selected reflecting the diverse nature of the legal profession in West Virginia.
A recognized and respected corporate defense attorney, Mr. Beeson is a founding member of Charleston-based law firm Robinson & McElwee. He has over 45 years of experience in the legal profession and has continuously dedicated his time to support philanthropic organizations in the state and the Kanawha Valley. In 2015, Mr. Beeson was honored by the Defense Trial Counsel of West Virginia as “Lawyer of the Year.” Mr. Beeson is a Past-Board Member of Fund for the Arts of the Kanawha Valley. He is a Former Chair of numerous foundations and councils, including the West Virginia Independent Colleges and Universities, the West Virginia University College of Law Development Council, West Virginia Wesleyan College, United Disciples of Christ Church, and Faith in Action of the Greater Kanawha Valley.
