Immediate opening for a Paralegal Assistant in Charleston, WV

Some responsibilities for this position include: 

  • Review organize and maintain files for cases as assigned, including certain file rooms
  • Create and update case notebooks for each case
  • Copy and bind documents
  • Create indexes and labels
  • Assist paralegal with trial preparation
  • Work with PDF files – redaction, etc.
  • Review documents for information as requested by the paralegal
  • Open new files / Request new volumes
  • Prepare exhibit lists/exhibits
  • Locate and retrieve files
  • Prepare and box files for movement
  • Prepare and scan files for storage or box files for storage
  • Communicate frequently with supervisors regarding the status of projects and assignments
  • Various miscellaneous tasks as assigned by the paralegal, attorney or firm administrator – make phone calls, answer phones, run errands, sort photographs, request checks, prepare luncheons, etc.

The successful candidate will work directly with both paralegals and attorneys on projects.  The ideal candidate would have previous law firm experience.  Additionally, they should possess knowledge of office machines, knowledge of Microsoft Office programs along with general computer skills.  Proper use of grammar and attention to detail are important.  The candidate should possess the ability to type at a minimum of 40 wpm.  Filing experience is necessary and experience with Bates numbering is a plus. Seeking a Receptionist/Administrative Assistant in Charleston, WV

This position would perform receptionist duties on a part-time basis and provide administrative support for the Firm Administrator.  This includes benefit administration assistance, scheduling meetings, ordering office supplies, arranging luncheons, maintaining confidential files, preparing and organizing documents.  The successful candidate should possess strong organizational skills, the ability to work in a dynamic fast paced environment and demonstrate excellent written and oral communications skills.  Candidates should be familiar with Microsoft products such as Word, Excel and Outlook.  Send cover letter, resume and salary requirement to Firm Administrator, P.O.
