Associate Opportunities - Business Law and Asbestos Defense Litigation

Robinson & McElwee PLLC is seeking two associate lawyers who are looking to gain experience with seasoned and accomplished lawyers and who are interested in opportunities for personal growth and career progression. We are seeking two associate lawyers, one with 2-5 years of experience who possesses quality writing skills to join our Business Law Department and an associate with 1-3 years of experience to join our asbestos defense litigation team.  Both positions are based in the Charleston, West Virginia office.

Billing Specialist

Robinson & McElwee PLLC is seeking a Billing Specialist.  The ideal candidate will possess a positive attitude, the ability to work well with others, have a working knowledge of bookkeeping and be familiar with law firm billing processes.  Preference will be given to those with an Associate Degree in accounting or significant bookkeeping experience.  Duties of this position include but are not limited processing billing, e-billing, conflict checking, opening files, closing files, maintaining database information regarding firm records, reporting, evaluating new client billing guidelines, training others on time entry and problem solving with others in the department.  This position reports to the Accounting Supervisor.  Candidates need to possess the ability to pay close attention to detail and be a self-starter.  Candidates will be expected to work independently as well as with others inside and outside the department.  Applicants should be familiar with Microsoft office software.  In addition to the Microsoft products, this position will use accounting software for law firms, document management software and various types of e-billing software.  We offer a full benefits package to all full time employees including health, vision, dental and life insurance as well as a 401K plan with company contributions.  Interested candidates please email your resume to or to Firm Administrator, P.O.
